Lately i'm into rewigging ebay dolls with sharpie colored wigs. I like to use Molly because i love the color of her eyes. But all 3 of my new ebay Mollys have absolutely no face color at all. At first i thought i just got a doll that had been left out in the sun and faded but now it's obvious that at some point they were just made this way. My PM Molly has face paint and so does my brand new one though. Does anyone know when the pale ones were made? It must have been for a while or a never would have gotten 3 from ebay.
I think so many PM dolls are colorless because their facecolor was "loved off" or cleaned off with the cleansing powder kit by little girls.
If you follow kitschywoman's instructions (in the doll maintenance section of the doll-related website sticky), it works very well--I used her methods to re-color "Spooky Felicity's" face.

Colorless Mollies (or just colorless dolls in general) were made around 1996. Both of the dolls I own that were purchased in this time frame had none or very little coloring. So my Molly doesn't have any color...though I still say she is one of the cutest Mollies out there. [img]wink.gif[/img]
